I keep getting calls from 01582 323037 about a timeshare we once had (which we genuinely liked back then). The person rang and insisted, "YOU MUST LISTEN TO THIS INFO, IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT." I told them I wasn’t interested and just ended the call. With all the tech we have nowadays, can’t these dodgy calls be stopped right at the source?

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the European Commission based in Luton. They said they wanted to discuss details supposedly shared by Hilton Grand Vacations, but all the info they had was old. I told them I’m on the TPS and asked why they were still ringing, but they didn’t seem to care. I just hung up, and they called back immediately. Since then, I’ve been getting loads of calls from the same number which I just ignore. This morning, a new 01582 number came up - 01582 323025 - but they didn’t bother leaving any voicemail.

Got a call from a number I didn’t know, so I just let it go to voicemail. Nothing was left, so it’s pretty clear it was just another scam.

They kept going on about me owing money, which I definitely don’t, and threatened to send debt collectors this week. Really unpleasant experience.

I've received a call from them as well... When I expressed my lack of interest and requested them to cease contacting me, the caller became extremely aggressive and menacing... It's truly alarming, especially for elderly folks in their 80s...

Got a call from someone saying they were based in the Luton branch of the European Commission, at a place they called "Abbey Gate". They were asking real worried questions about me being caught up in timeshare exit scams. But I’ve checked and there’s no such office there at that location, so it’s obviously just another dodgy scam call.

Got a call from a woman with an English accent claiming to represent the EU Commission. She said I owed money on a timeshare with the Macdonald group. I told her I didn’t owe anything and asked why the EU Commission would be involved in that. She just kept insisting the debt had to be settled. Definitely a scam, so I just ended the call.

I got a call from this advisory firm pushing me to answer calls from some timeshare recovery outfit - honestly, they're so annoying!

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise and just let it ring out. Since there was no voicemail, I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

Loads of calls from different numbers but all pushing the same timeshare payout scheme. It's always the same #### showing up.

Sounds like one of those timeshare cons aimed at former Club La Costa folks, trying to pull a fast one.

This number or others like it have been ringing me every day. Whenever I answer, the line goes dead straightaway, which means I can't even get a chance to block them. What a nuisance!

I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from the European Commission, insisting it was regarding holiday ownership. It felt quite dodgy, and I suspect it's a scam trying to con you out of your money.

Got calls from this number a few times in the last couple of days, they pick up when I answer even though I don’t recognise the number from my contacts. They never say anything or leave a voicemail. I’ve just blocked it now.

I got a call from 01582 323037 and the person said they were from the European Commission about a timeshare debt with MGM. I told them a few times that I had no clue what they meant, and in the end they said they probably got the wrong number. Sounds obviously like a scam to me. Like others have pointed out, why on earth would the European Commission be chasing people over timeshare debts?

Someone called me claiming to be from the European Commission about a timeshare debt. When I told him it was a scam, he asked if I wanted to settle down or speak to the debt collectors. I ended the call as I’d just recently finished with my timeshare and even had a letter proving it. Then he rang back straight away asking what time would be good for the debt collectors to visit. I just said anytime and hung up again. Total scam!

Got a call from someone named Mark Hill, claiming he's with the European Commission out of Luton. The number was 01582323037. He wanted to discuss my timeshare cancellation and some Spanish court stuff. I've actually worked with the EU Commission in Brussels, and they definitely don't have an office in Luton, nor do they handle things like this. Pretty clear it's a scam to me.

I received a rather menacing call claiming we had an outstanding debt regarding a timeshare we don’t even possess! They threatened to send the bailiffs around, which was quite alarming. It's outrageous behaviour, and I reckon they ought to face serious consequences for their scam!

Answered the call right away but it was just dead silence on the other end!

I got a call from some random number on our landline, which is actually registered with TPS, and they didn’t even bother to leave a message. After looking up the number online, it turns out it’s just another scam centre pretending to be the “European Commission,” offering advice about timeshare holidays or claiming to be a debt collection outfit. Pretty annoying how these calls keep coming!
