They rang at 8.55pm on the 12th of Sept 2018 to chat about Brexit! We have caller ID but at that time we picked up just to be sure. We're ex-directory and are signed up with the TPS, but it clearly doesn’t stop these calls. As soon as I caught on to why they were calling, I left the phone off the hook and tossed it on the sofa to let them waste some time. Just another annoying unwanted call.

Got a call at 4.29pm from a woman with a really hard to pronounce name, probably on purpose so you can't remember it. She said she was from some company doing a survey about BREXIT. Something felt off straight away. I asked which company she was with so I could check it online and she just cut the call immediately. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Got a call from a woman, some market research thing she said, but I can't remember her name or the company. She claimed they were looking into the North East part of Glasgow. I told her I don’t do market research calls and I don’t actually live in that area anyway. I’m on the TPS list and my number’s ex-directory, but I know that doesn’t block all calls. Still, it’s fairly annoying.

This number just rang me up saying they were conducting a survey. I’m ex-directory and really don’t appreciate random calls like this. I’ve had endless problems with TalkTalk scammers for ages, had to change my phone number eventually to stop them. I certainly don’t want any of that hassle. I’m disabled, so these calls are really not welcome. I’ve blocked the number and filed a report now.

Just a heads up - they can ring any number, so even if you’re ex-directory, you’re not safe. They’re just guessing numbers and hoping for the best. If they say it’s a survey, try telling them you charge £100 upfront plus £25 a minute to take part, payable through PayPal beforehand. Usually that’s enough to put them off, and well, maybe one day they’ll actually pay (when pigs start flying, that is).

Got a call from 01582310357 around 7.38pm on 14/09/18 but missed it. Tried calling back straight away and all I got was a weird, scrambled message. Managed to catch they said something about being a market research firm and their voicemail was full. Looked up the number and found out it's just another one of those endless survey companies with a Coventry number. Blocked it straight away.

Like many others have pointed out, this number is linked to a survey company. The TPS doesn't cover calls related to market research, so they’re not breaking any rules. Just make sure you know what kinds of calls you’re protected from before being rude to someone just doing their job. I got a call from this number on my work phone, which isn’t listed anywhere. If you don’t want to take part in their survey, just don’t pick up. It’s really that straightforward. Only if they begin asking for your personal info should you worry about it being a scam.

I got a call on 12 Sept 18 at 7:09pm. When I asked where they got my number from, they said it was picked randomly. When I mentioned the new rules about cold calling, they just said it didnt apply because it was ‘just a survey’ and they weren’t selling anything. Got a call from someone saying they were from B T, with a recorded message by a woman who had an American accent telling me my internet would be cut off. I never phoned B T myself, plus they usually email or text me, not leave messages on the landline. Looks like a definite scam to me.
