They ring me like 2 or 3 times every single day! I've picked up a couple of times and theres never anyone on the other end!

Once more, the phone rang, but we didn’t manage to get to it in time before they hung up. It’s probably the same dodgy company as before. I’m quite certain it was the same number.

so this guy kept trying to set up an appointment for someone to visit me, but I told him now’s not a good time. then I asked if I could have his number to ring him back later and he just wouldn’t give it to me. I then said if you won’t share your number then I’m not interested, and he just went and hung up on me like that, which was really rude.

i got a call from someone named Neeve but as soon as i said the house was brand new and didn't need any window replacements, she just hung up on me really quickly. tried ringing back to have a word but it seemed totally useless.

Got a call today from this number claiming to be the Energy Saver Centre. The bloke sounded like he was from Glasgow and said it was about some boiler scrappage scheme. I asked them where they were calling from, and he said Paisley! Then he asked me about the age of my windows. When I told him everything was fine, he insisted it wasn't a sales call. I asked where their main office was, luckily I was near my laptop and quickly looked up the Energy Saver Centre. No mention of any Paisley office anywhere. When I asked if the HQ was in Edinburgh, suddenly the line got bad and he kept saying he couldn’t hear me. I asked again and got nothing but silence. I checked 1471, looked up the number, and it actually comes from Kinross, not Paisley. Bit dodgy if you ask me!

Got a call out of the blue from someone claiming to be from the 'Energy Saving Centre'. Sounded Scottish, which fits since the number showed up as Kinross.

I told the guy to take me off their call list and he seemed quite decent about it, said 'Alright, Sir'. Now I’m waiting to find out if they'll actually honour it or if I’m just on to their list of easy targets.

I’ve had this number ring me loads of times. Seems like it’s some sort of auto dialler that just cuts off if no one picks up right away. Most of the time, there’s no one at the other end anyway! On the rare chance I do get through, the person on the line is really nosy and quite aggressive. As soon as I say I’m not interested, they just drop the call without any sort of goodbye. Proper annoying and quite rude, really.

Got a call out of the blue from someone saying they weren’t trying to sell anything, but then started talking about grants for home improvements if you buy new windows. To me, that’s definitely sales talk. When I asked if they were from a government department, they said no. They claimed they wouldn’t pry into personal stuff, but then asked if I owned the house and how old my windows were. As soon as I began questioning them back, this polite-sounding young woman from Aberdeen just hung up. Not convinced at all and I’m registered with the TPS too - clearly not doing much good.
