I wasn't at the house when that caller tried to get in touch. My answerphone was stuck on 'Leave a message' from 12:20 all the way to 20:30, which really drained the batteries.

Received a rather dodgy call claiming I was using my internet in an unlawful manner. They urged me to press 1 to speak to BT. How likely is that, honestly?

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Visa, and apparently there was some funds disappearing from my account. The chap on the line sounded Asian, and when I inquired about his name, he cheekily replied, “James Bond.” I couldn’t help myself and asked if he was shaken or stirred, and just like that, the call cut off! I decided to ring the number back, and it diverted to a personal phone. I spoke to the gentleman who picked up and informed him that his number was being misused by scammers. I suggested that he reach out to the fraud squad immediately.
