Someone with a thick Asian accent rang me, claiming to be from BT and said my account had been compromised. I asked if I could ring back and he gave the name Benjamin Shaw, said he worked for BT, gave some employee number like 15198007 and the phone 02032895957. The caller ID showed it was an overseas call but when I did 1471 it showed a different number, 01571251721. I didn’t bother to ring either number and honestly, I’m pretty sure this was a dodgy call, not a real BT employee.
