Got a call from 02 trying to convince me to give my security code so I could get some kind of discount. They were pretty insistent and it felt a bit dodgy.

Scam alert - after I hung up, they kept calling back at least 14 times! Completely annoying.

Total con artists, watch out!

I just had a call from someone promoting a 30% discount on my phone bill, but they struggled to answer even the most basic queries I had. It was rather baffling!

Loads of complaints lately about scam and nuisance calls from numbers linked to Net-Work Internet Ltd (Net-Telco.net). We’re an Ofcom-regulated telecom provider with over a million numbers assigned to us. If you get a pestering call from one of our numbers, it’s important to know these aren’t actually coming from us. These calls might be from a customer, but most often they’re from dodgy firms spoofing the caller ID. People often ask why we can’t block these calls. The truth is, these calls don’t come through our network but mostly from call centres in India. Since they don’t touch our systems, we can’t stop them. It might help to ask your phone provider if they can block the number on their end. Many who report this say they’re registered with the Telephone Preference Service, but the callers are overseas and don’t care about UK laws. Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, saying they had a 30% discount deal. I heard them out but when they tried to switch me to a 'senior supervisor' to finish the upgrade, I just ended the call. They kept ringing me back four times after that, so I just ignored and ended up blocking the number.

I never picked up but no clue who this is or where they even got my phone number from, feels like a total scam and one of those annoying cold calls for sure.

O2 customers, take heed! I received a rather alarming call this morning from a bloke insisting I share a one-time passcode he claimed to have messaged me, all while saying my account was at risk. It's important to stay vigilant, as he was clearly attempting to gain unauthorised access to my O2 account!

Got a call from an unfamiliar area I’ve never had any dealings with, so I just let it ring off. After checking out the reviews here on WCM, I think I’ll just block the number. Cheers for the heads-up!

The phone only rang briefly a couple of times then went silent. Normally I ignore numbers I dont know but after seeing what others said I decided to block it.

The voice had such a strong accent that I couldn't figure out who it was at all. They hung up straight away, so I'm pretty sure it was a scam, especially since they kept calling me "ma'am".

Got a call from this number, but the person's accent made it really hard for me to catch who they said they were representing. Seems like it could’ve been some sort of scam.

They called me saying they were from O2 support, trying to give me a discount. Then they even messaged me pretending to be O2 too. Definitely a scam.

I answered the call but there was no one speaking, just silence for a bit before the caller suddenly disconnected.

We picked up but no one was there on the line... Called them back and someone did answer but they just stayed quiet.

I think this was a dodgy call, felt like a scam to me.

Got a random call from this number, seemed like some dodgy sales pitch. Definitely a scam or some fake company trying to sell something.

I didn’t pick up, but when I rang back, it was just a recorded voice saying it’s some energy firm. Either way, I’m just gonna block the number.

This phone number pretending to be 02’s customer support is totally bogus. Avoid calling it!
