I received a call out of the blue, and when I picked up, the person on the other end didn't utter a single word.

A right nuisance! Someone rang me claiming to be from BT, insisting there was an issue with my broadband. The person had quite a thick accent, and I struggled to catch what they were going on about. Definitely sounded dodgy to me!
