They keep ringing my mum and dad who are quite old. Today someone called pretending to be from the dentist but when I told them they weren’t, they just said “no worries” and ended the call.

Got a call about insurance, they wanted to talk to my wife. I asked who was calling and what for, but the woman on the phone was rude and didn’t answer. She just hung up straight away.

Got a call from a woman asking if I had life insurance through Legal and General. I said no, then she asked if I’d signed up for any recently, still no. When she probed why I didn’t have any, I joked I plan on living forever. She asked if I was a vampire, and I said actually a zombie, so why bother with life insurance? She just laughed and wished me well. At least she was friendly and funny, but let’s be honest, it’s a cold call centre trying to get business or maybe even scam you.

Life Provider rang me up asking about insurance and pension reviews. I asked them where they got my info from and they said I probably signed up for something ages ago? They also asked when I last did a review. I told them it’s none of their business and told them to take me off their list and not call again.

Got a call from this number a minute ago, bloke said he was from Liverpool. Did my normal routine, asked who’s calling and where he's from. He said John, so asked where exactly, he repeated Liverpool. Mentioned I was expecting a call back, and he told me I was just wasting his time, haha bit weird. Blocked him now.

Got a call on my phone but didn’t pick up. Have blocked the number now. No clue who they were or what for, but if it’s urgent they can just post me something. Feels like half my day’s spent adding numbers to my block list while these annoying spammers keep blasting out loads of dodgy calls. I picked up a call from this number, the guy said he was calling from some Royal insurance firm (didn't really catch the full name). I went straight in with 'what do you want?'. He told me I hadn’t reviewed my life insurance policy for ages. I told him I don’t have any life insurance and have no plans to get one. Then he just hung up. I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call and said I wasn’t interested but they kept pushing so I ended up hanging up. They rang straight back and claimed I’d asked for an insurance check, which I definitely didn’t. These insurance scammers are really relentless. I nicely told them yesterday to remove me from their list and then blocked their number, but they still called me again tonight, using a different number. They've called me 3 times in just two days, using this number and another one from Knutsford (01565 332003). Honestly, these companies need to be shut down.

I got a call out of the blue and when I asked where they got my number from, the person said I’d apparently signed up for some Life Insurance check-up (which I definitely haven't). They wouldn’t say anything else about where my details came from. It was a UK call centre too, but these calls shouldn’t even be allowed now under the new regulations!
