A man who said his name was David called me. He had an Indian accent and claimed to be from Life Protect insurance, saying he wanted to do a review of my insurance. He refused to give the company’s address and wouldn’t say where he got my phone number from. When I pressed him for more info, he just ended the call.

Got a call from a call centre looking for my wife on my phone! I reckon it’s because of those insurance sites like Go Compare or the meerkats. When I shop around for her car insurance, I put my number down as the contact. I told them they had the wrong number and to take me off their list. Call centre? How come this 'business' gets to use a UK number (01565 332003) and also shows up as International? Whoever they are, not worth talking to, really rude. When I answered, there was ages of silence then I heard some confused chatter and someone say "Hello?". I just ended the call! Then they rang back a few mins later from the same number.
