I got a dodgy call that kicked off with an automated message saying it was from BT, warning me my broadband might have been hacked. I did pick up to hear what they had to say, but soon they were asking me to open this thing called "eventvwr" on my PC. I’m aware that it lets someone else link to your computer. If you’re not careful and easily spooked, you might end up giving them control or even handing over money!
