The area code seemed familiar since it’s pretty close to where I live, like within five miles or so. It’s a bit unsettling, honestly. The caller claimed to be from our bank, saying there were two suspicious transactions on our Barclays account - one was a £300 charge to Amazon and the other a huge international transfer over £3000. I’ve already reported it to Fraud Action and have put a block on the number.
