somebody rang claiming to be from bt saying my internet was down. i said straight away it sounds like a scam, and he actually admitted it was! then he started boasting about having my bank info and planned to clear out my account. i didn't hang about and told the cops right away.

Saw I missed a call from this number but couldn't ring back. After reading through earlier reviews, seems like I've dealt with this one before.

I got a call from someone with a really heavy accent, she said her name was Veronica and claimed to be ringing from BT. She started talking about my internet, then I just ended the call straight away.

I've got a new BT phone that automatically blocks callers it doesn't recognise, and it just stopped a call from this number. I looked it up on Google and came across a post on a different website suggesting it might be linked to a TalkTalk scam. I can't confirm this for sure, but since the caller wouldn't say who they were and my phone blocked the call, I figured I'd share it here in case anyone else gets a call like this.
