The chap then tried to persuade me that for a one-off fee of £46.97, they could ensure no more calls would bother me in the future. He rattled off the types of payment cards they accepted and asked which one I would like to use immediately. I pointed out that he hadn’t properly introduced himself, to which he insisted that he had and that he represented the Call Blocking Service.
