A pre-recorded message popped up as my voicemail kicked in, chatting about some sort of security concern.

Received a missed call from this number earlier today. Thank goodness I chose not to return the call!

It seems I keep getting daily calls from this pesky lot regarding my washing machine warranty. Thankfully, my phone has a handy feature that identifies them as a likely spam caller, so I’ve opted not to pick up. I’ve attempted to block them, but they just keep changing their number! Quite the nuisance, really.

Rang me at 8:23 in the morning but didn’t utter a word. Straight to the BLOCK list for that one!

I received a call claiming I'd struck gold in the postcode lottery — apparently, I was entitled to a discount voucher usable at all the leading supermarkets for me and my family. To top it off, they mentioned something about winning a fortnight of flights for a holiday! At that point, I decided enough was enough and simply ended the call!

My phone has this rather handy feature that announces who's calling, and it seems the person on the other end had no desire to chat. I've gone ahead and blocked that number now.

I received a call from someone with a foreign accent about appliance insurance. As soon as I realised, I ended the call without delay. My insurance provider never contacts me over the phone; they strictly communicate via post.

I had a rather dodgy call informing me that the warranty on my washing machine had expired. Definitely a scam, if you ask me!

I received a call from a woman whose accent sounded quite exotic. She inquired if I happened to be Mr. Bateman, to which I rightly responded in the negative. She then proceeded to ask if I was connected to Mr. Bateman’s family, but I again affirmed that I wasn’t. After a brief moment, she apologised and admitted she'd dialled the wrong number!

Received a call at 8 in the morning, just what you'd want when someone in the house is trying to catch some Zs before heading off for a night shift. No one bothered to say anything. Absolutely pathetic.

This morning at 8 o'clock, my landline rang and startled me out of my slumber. I only ever use it for urgent matters, so you can imagine my panic when it suddenly chimed.

I didn't recognise the number, so I didn't pick up right away. The moment I finally answered, though, the caller just disconnected.

Whenever I receive a call from an unknown number without any name or message, I simply let my answering machine take over. If they can't be bothered to leave a message, they're getting BLOCKED! This goes for landlines as well.

Received a dodgy call regarding a supposed washing machine warranty. It’s comical how some individuals assume we’re all gullible!

I usually let my voicemail take over when I receive calls from numbers that aren’t saved in my contacts and they don’t leave any messages. So, that one’s been BLOCKED! Incoming landline calls, mind you.

Received a call inquiring about my proper surname. The caller rambled on about extending warranties for various appliances. I requested she clarify which brands and models she was referring to. I cheekily mentioned that if she had the right answer, she would win an Easter egg. Clearly, just another scammer at work.

A woman rang me up, but she didn’t disclose the name of her company. She was prattling on about some warranty for a washing machine. When I inquired about the specific model, she mentioned a brand I can’t quite recall. When I told her that I didn’t own that particular brand, she abruptly terminated the call. It's clear this was a dodgy scam call.

What a right con! I tried ringing the number back not once but four times, and each time, I was greeted with nothing but an ear-piercing screech. Truly frustrating!

I received a call regarding the warranty for our washing machine, but when I informed them that we didn't possess one, they abruptly ended the call. Quite unprofessional, if you ask me.

Received a dodgy phone call concerning our washing machine warranty, which is a bit of a laugh since we haven't owned that type for more than 17 years! We did remind them that we're on the Telephone Preference Service list, but it seems that doesn't deter them in the slightest.

I received a call claiming my washing machine's warranty was expiring and if I wished to extend it. I informed them that I don’t have a warranty at all, and then they promptly disconnected the call. Just another dodgy scam attempt, really!

I received a call from someone, a woman speaking with an accent that wasn't local, claiming my washing machine warranty had expired. She offered me an extension for another year, but I informed her that I wasn’t interested and swiftly ended the call. Strangely enough, she didn't mention the company's name or provide any specific information. Quite odd, really!

I received a rather unexpected phone call from a woman with an Indian accent who purportedly wanted to inform me that my washing machine insurance had lapsed. This strike me as quite odd since I had enrolled in a Homecare plan with Curry’s back in November, which is supposed to be valid until November 2025. When I requested that she send a renewal notification via post, she informed me that this wasn’t possible. Frustrated by this rather suspicious exchange, it became clear that I was dealing with a scammer, so I promptly ended the call.
Moreover, I encountered yet another individual with an Indian accent, this time a chap who called not only yesterday but also today, claiming to represent Openreach regarding my internet connection. Recognizing it as yet another scam, I simply told him I wasn't interested and terminated the conversation. It’s becoming rather tiresome, to be honest!

I’m absolutely fed up with receiving calls from 01554582003, persistently enquiring about a certain ‘Mrs Waters’. I don’t have a clue who she is, nor has she ever resided here, I assure you! Every single time my phone rings with that number, I take the time to request that they update their files and refrain from contacting me again. The response is always the same: “Certainly, Madam,” as if it’s all sorted, yet nothing ever changes! What a nuisance!

I seem to receive an influx of such calls around this time annually on a rarely used landline, which I only provided on my council tax form a couple of months back. Strange coincidence, isn't it?

I keep receiving calls from this number, yet nobody seems to be on the other end. It’s likely a duplicated landline, and the actual person behind it is completely unaware.

Rather concerning, I received a call from a rather dodgy individual who had the cheek to use my actual surname. They proceeded to inquire about prolonging the warranty on a washing machine that’s well past its heyday. Truth be told, aside from the standard one-year coverage from the maker, I’ve never entertained any warranty, and frankly, my washing machine is ancient!

I received a rather peculiar call that seemed to originate from a call centre. After a lengthy pause, a woman eventually greeted me. I responded with my own ‘hello,’ yet there was an eerie silence on the line thereafter. Honestly, I've no clue what the purpose of the call was.

I received a call from someone named Natalia who mentioned our family name accurately. She was inquiring if we were interested in extending the warranty on our washing machine as the insurance was about to lapse. However, when I requested her contact details, she had a bit of a flustered response, and suddenly the call cut off. It's making me think this could be a bit dodgy.

An Indian gentleman informed me that the warranty on my washing machine had expired. When I inquired about where I had purchased it, he simply mentioned "The Homecare shop." This name meant nothing to me, and I began to suspect he might be trying to pull a fast one. He then wished me well and abruptly ended the call. Strange, indeed!
