Received a pre-recorded spiel about loft insulation. Clearly not an actual human – they even paused for my replies as if it were a conversation, aiming to bamboozle me into believing it was genuine. Total scam!

On the 2nd of September, 2024, my mobile buzzed around 4 in the afternoon. I tend to keep my distance from numbers I don’t recognise. They didn't leave a voicemail, which leads me to suspect it might be a scam call or perhaps someone looking to pilfer my details.
