I got a call from a bloke with a strong Indian accent pretending to be from o2, offering a 30% discount. He texted me from a number that said it was o2, asking for a code in a follow-up message. But if you actually read that text, it clearly states not to share the code with anyone and that genuine o2 staff never ask for it. The guy said he couldn’t give me any info about my account or name unless I gave him this code to 'access’ my account - which is total rubbish. When o2 genuinely ring, they always do security checks before sharing any details. Don’t be fooled by these scammers!

I got a call from a woman speaking with a thick foreign accent who said she was calling from O2. She told me they could help me save money on my bill and mentioned I’d get sent a security code. Since I hadn’t asked for any code, I just hung up straight away.

I got a text saying it was from O2 about a mobile upgrade, seemed legit since it popped up in an old O2 message thread, but then they kept pushing me to give them a one-time code they’d supposedly sent. Don’t fall for it, O2 will NEVER ask for that code on a call. It’s definitely a scam.

I got a call from someone saying they were with O2, going on about how I could save loads on my phone rental. The lady had a really thick foreign accent which didn’t feel quite right. I just told her I couldn’t follow what she was saying and ended up hanging up. Didn’t seem honest at all.

The latest one showed as being from Llandovery in Wales, but before that I had calls from all sorts of random places in the UK I’ve never set foot in. What’s strange is, they never actually speak or leave a message, and they don’t call back either. Every few days, a number rings me then either hangs up straight away or stops ringing before I can pick up. Honestly, I have no clue what the point of it all is.

When I told him I’d report him to the police, he started swearing and used some pretty foul language, calling me 'm.f.' or something like that.
