Health services called me and I’m pretty sure they got my number from somewhere I didn’t expect. Hope it’s not from my doctor’s office. Where else would they have found it?

I decided to return a missed call from this number, but the person I spoke to said they had no idea about making any calls from it. After double-checking, they did confirm it was indeed their number, but claimed no one had used it to ring out recently. I just found out that calls to 0154 numbers cost 9p a minute plus a connection charge, so maybe that’s how the scam works? I ended up getting caught out, unfortunately. I’m definitely going to block the number now.
