We’ve been experiencing persistent calls from a number that's been bothering our rather elderly neighbour. Despite having signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, it seems these callers have found a way to bypass the restrictions we put in place. Quite frustrating, really!

Oi, will ya get off the ruddy line! There are far more pressing calls to be had without these numpties in their silly paper hats barging in on our business!

Like many before me, this number has buzzed me twice over the past couple of days. Each time it’s the same Indian accent on the line, prompting me to disconnect straight away. It’s rather frustrating, as my wife is starting to think I’m concealing something, which is far from the truth!

Just received yet another call claiming to be from U-benefit, and I promptly ended the conversation.

The calls originating from this so-called 'benefits UK' number are a right nuisance! It's clear that these conversations don't serve his interests or ours. It's high time they ceased for good!

These incessant calls are beyond irritating! I've discovered a handy trick — when they ring, remain silent and just listen in. If you catch a beep, that means it’s an auto-dialler, and it will promptly disconnect, moving on to bother someone else. Or, if you're having one of those days, feel free to unleash your frustrations on them; it can be quite therapeutic!

Benefits UK rang me, and I had a couple of queries, but I decided to hang up.

I've been getting relentless calls from this number lately. It's truly driving me up the wall. They never bother to leave a voicemail either. Finally, I've had enough and blocked the number.

I’ve been inundated with calls from this number on a daily basis, and it’s driving me up the wall! It’s becoming increasingly difficult to pick up the phone, especially since there’s never anyone on the other end. What’s the point of these calls if there’s no conversation? It’s just utterly frustrating!

I've had the misfortune of receiving three calls from this number today alone. It's really starting to get on my nerves! They never seem to answer when I pick up, so I'm hoping they’ll just lose interest eventually. During the second call, we explicitly requested them to cease calling, but instead of complying, they just ended the call abruptly. How frustrating!

Should they have any queries, I’ll be sure to take that up with the local constabulary and make arrangements for them to be taken into custody!

Received a call earlier on, but they didn’t bother to drop a message.

I've been inundated with calls from this number for the past week, ringing me at least twice daily. My husband picked up once and gracefully turned them down, yet the incessant calls haven’t ceased. We've decided to ignore their calls entirely, but it appears that these bothersome interruptions are relentless. Quite frustrating, really!

Had a rather puzzling experience with a call from someone with an accent that was quite tricky to decipher. They were keen to delve into queries about universal benefits. I politely declined the conversation, though.

Received a call with no one on the line during the lunch hour of Bank Holiday Monday!

Who on earth makes a call at 8:30 in the morning on a bank holiday Saturday and doesn’t bother to leave a message? Just typical of a nuisance caller, isn't it?! Unbelievable!

He began conversing, requesting to meet me face to face, but the moment I agreed, the line went silent.

I’ve been bombarded by these blokes ringing me under all sorts of pretences. They typically try to probe me about insurance, though sometimes they switch it up and talk about computers or even benefits. I've lodged a complaint with Ofcom about their antics.

I was met with a bit of quiet, and then a gentleman with an Indian accent asked for me by name. As per usual, I simply hung up the phone.

I received a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from “ubenefit.” I decided to cut the conversation short and ended the call before they could say much more.

It didn't show up on BT Call Guardian – I can only deduce it's likely a scammer or from some call centre. I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

One clever trick you might try is to position a radio right next to the phone and blast some tunes! It’s quite effective, I must say!
