i'm also based in the cannock region (01543 code) and got a call from some bloke asking about an ‘accident’ i'd supposedly been in. obviously, i haven't been in any accident. i told him to jog on. what’s freaky is he used my actual name and rang my unlisted number! when i rang back the local number 01543-719026, it just went to voicemail with the message, ‘hi, this is a marketing call. sorry, all our reps are currently busy.”

got a call from albany assured saying my husband had a crash in his ford over two and a half years ago. i told her straight up that he’s only ever had a honda for the last 5 years. she went on about him being owed money and asked for his bank and insurance info to sort it. i told them flat out they were talking rubbish and then ended the call. only picked up because 01543 is our local code and i thought it might be someone i know.
