07/08/17. Got a call from a bloke with an American accent claiming he was from Microsoft, said my computer was at risk of being hacked. I'm so fed up with these types of calls, I ended up being pretty harsh before hanging up on him.

Got a call from some Indian guy claiming to be from tech world. He was really rude and said he’d keep ringing me. I told him to piss off and said I’d contact the police about the harassment, he just told me to do it. He calls every single day. I’m proper fed up with it.

I got a call around 8:20 this morning. My partner picked up and a man with an Indian accent said there was an emergency and we had to check our computer. He claimed to be certified by Microsoft and that his firm was called TechWorld. Knowing it was a con, my partner played along to gather details. He asked to speak to the manager, then a bloke with a Chinese accent came on and threatened to block our computer. My partner wasn’t having any of it and told him to piss off.

Got a phone call a few days back from a man with an Indian accent saying my computer had security issues, told him I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Then this morning, a woman with a similar accent called, there was a bit of dead silence at first so I just hung up. Surprisingly, I managed to get the number using 1471.

This number has been ringing me non stop for the past 5 days and when I pick up, there's no one on the line. I've filed a complaint with the TPS. It's getting pretty annoying now.

This number rang my 87-year-old mum at 8:12 in the morning, and she was worried it might be urgent. Since she's a bit hard of hearing, she couldn't catch what they said. I answered the phone for her, and they asked if we owned a computer. I responded in Welsh, and then they just ended the call.

Just like others have said here, I got a call today from a bloke with a Pakistani accent, real pushy. I ended the call but he rang right back straight away, asking why I’d cut him off. He told me I had to sit by my computer and do as he said straight away or my computer would get blacklisted because it’d been hacked. When I asked how I could be sure he was legit, he started going on about recognising my ID and all that. Total nonsense, so I told him to go ahead and blacklist me and hung up again!

Somebody rang to ask if I own a computer or laptop, saying it might be at risk of a virus or something.

This guy kept ringin me up with a thick Pakistani accent, calling me all sorts of nasty names and making inappropriate comments. He was proper rude and kept on about stuff that made me feel really uncomfortable. He even said he'd been doing this kinda thing for three years and never got caught. He knew my name and demanded £5k from me, then started insulting me again. I recorded the call but he just said he didn't care and mentioned we might get charged for the call. Is that actually correct?

They ring me about the same time daily. Normally, I just let it ring out cause I'm used to it, but today I picked up. The bloke, who sounded Asian, claimed to be from 'Windows' so I replied, "Oh, another scam? Go on then, I’m recording you now." Suddenly, he started singing, then laughed and hung up. Some bloke named Raj rang me saying he was from Microsoft. I told him I wasn't interested and ended the call. He called back saying he wasn’t trying to sell anything but was warning me about download issues on my PC, so I thanked him and hung up. The same number rang a couple more times but I just didn’t pick up.
