Today I received a rather bizarre automated phone call claiming to be from Amazon. They informed me that my Prime membership was on the verge of expiring and that I could quickly renew it via the phone, complete with a tempting discount offer. How absurd! The catch is, I’ve never even signed up for Amazon Prime in the first place. What a dodgy scam!

Didn’t pick up since I didn’t know the number. When the answering machine started, the caller just hung up. This is the first time I’ve seen this number, so I’m thinking it’s another scam like people have mentioned. Cheers for the heads-up!

A call came through from 01539 563178, said it was from a Kendal shop, with a recorded voice warning about a £700 suspicious charge on my Amazon Prime account. Thing is, we dont even have an Amazon Prime account, and we never asked for one! Complete nonsense. Be careful and dont fall for this if you’re gullible. Looks like a scam to me.

Typical Amazon, someone’s using my account to splurge again. Does Amazon really call you if they don’t have your landline number? And would they leave a robo-call? Doubt it. They need to track down these rubbish people and take legal action because this just puts people off from trusting Amazon altogether. It's proper annoying.

It was 8:58 in the morning on the 1st of August, 2022, a Saturday, no less. What on earth is wrong with these numpties? I didn’t recognise the number, so I chose not to pick up. The caller hung up just as my voicemail started. This is the first time I’ve received a call from this number - almost certain it’s some sort of scam!
