I received a rather dodgy phone call from someone claiming to be from Vodafone. He insisted that I had exceeded my data allowance and went on to suggest a new deal. There was something off about him, and his command of the English language left a lot to be desired. It all felt quite fishy!

I received a call from a lady purporting to be with Vodafone. When I questioned why she was ringing from a strange number rather than an official Vodafone line, she casually suggested I look up the number online. Then, out of the blue, she started asking for my date of birth and my address. She claimed my data was about to expire, but I was well aware that was absolute nonsense! I refused to share any personal details with her. Definitely a scam, if you ask me.

Fraudulent activity linked to Vodafone.

Received a call purporting to be from Vodafone, claiming I was nearing my data limit and asking for my personal details to access my account. I instructed her to reach out via the Vodafone app instead of over the phone. The caller—quite insistent, mind you—persisted in trying to obtain my date of birth and account info. I didn’t divulge any information, and upon checking, it turned out I wasn’t even close to my data cap. Clearly, a scam attempt!
