Beware of a perilous scam involving recorded messages that's doing the rounds!

I’m not familiar with this number, so I decided not to pick up the phone. As a retiree on a state pension, I can’t help but worry that it might be a scam.

Rang me but didn't leave a voicemail. I can only assume it's a sales call or some sort of junk.

I received a call from a landline number, 01538711864. The sound quality during the conversation was quite dreadful, yet they were trying to sell me a new mobile contract, which I politely turned down.

I wasn't keen on getting duped, so I promptly ended the conversation with someone who was purporting to be from Sky.

Inquiring about a mobile account. It seems to be a telemarketer, so best to ignore it. Might even be some sort of spam too.
