I received a rather peculiar phone call from someone with a strong Indian or Pakistani accent. They claimed to be representing Microsoft and inquired whether I was the individual who owned a computer at my address. Upon telling them that I didn't possess such a device, they insisted that they could evidently see one registered at my location. When I pressed for the owner's identity, they proceeded to furnish me with a name and address that did not belong to me. It’s quite clear to me that Microsoft wouldn’t breach GDPR regulations like that. Definitely a scam attempt, in my opinion!

This person on the phone had a really strong South Asian accent, sounded like Indian or Pakistani. They claimed to be ringing from Microsoft and asked if I owned the computer at my place. I told them I don’t have a computer there. Then they insisted they could clearly see one was registered at my address. I challenged them to tell me whose computer it was and they ended up giving me a totally different name and address. Seems to me like a classic scam, Microsoft wouldn’t be breaking data protection laws like that.
