I'm guessing they're some sort of middlemen for a "no win no fee" firm or maybe they want your bank details to free up the money? I never stuck around long enough to figure it out properly. I suppose if even one person a week falls for this, it must be profitable enough to cover all those callers they have on the phones.7 yearsWhenever I get calls from those scammers, I just answer and let them do their spiel. Then I hit back with something like, "I’m not able to drive, never had a crash, because, well, I don’t have any arms or legs." Most of the time they just freeze and soon after hang up, or sometimes they actually say sorry and promise to stop calling.
