They always call right around dinner, so annoying getting these kinds of calls.

Some numpty left me a message on my voicemail, rambling on and on, insisting that I should chat back with him, despite the fact that I was off enjoying a holiday. He kept repeating, “You’re the one missing out if you don’t respond,” as if I was somehow deprived without our little chat. It went on for a full five minutes! Absolutely comical, to be honest.

01530 887671 Alba Solutions, Scottish fella, really polite. Said my postal area was selected but didn’t mention the actual postcode, just kept asking about how old my Windows XP was or something like that. I cut him off ‘cos I was busy watching Broadchurch ?? I told him I live in a council house, which is true! He said, oh, but it shows you own it!? Anyway, he apologised nicely and we ended the call there.

Ignored the call and no voicemail was left since I’m always getting bugged by scammers.

They rang me earlier today and I told them I’m on the TPS. I made it clear I wasn’t interested. Then they said they’d call back again. To me, that feels like harassment. Surely there’s some rule against this?

I received a call from this number, but upon picking up, I found two people yapping away instead of addressing me. I felt a bit awkward jumping in, so I decided to just hang up. 😄

They tried to sell me windows and doors, claiming they got government funds for grants and still kept asking about the age of our windows. Called at the worst possible time as I'd just heard my mate was rushed to hospital with a stroke. I just ended the call straight away. No point wasting time trying to have a proper chat with these lot - they’re relentless and a real nuisance. Honestly, best thing to do is just hang up. They don’t care about privacy or anything else. Just don’t bother talking to them!

Got a call from a firm named Alba about my windows. I mentioned I’m on the TPS list, but the bloke claimed they were just doing market research so the rules didn’t apply. When I said I had other things on, he just hung up on me.

Got a missed call from a number I don’t recognise. No message left, so I’m not bothering to ring back.

Alba Solutions keep ringing me nonstop, saying they deal with recycling windows and doors and offering me between £100 and £150 for my old windows. They've been pestering me non-stop to book an appointment with some company called Penicuik Home Improvements. They even want to pop round within the hour to sort out new windows. I told them I've already put down a deposit with a local firm who'll be fitting them in about 8 weeks, but they still keep pushing to visit and convince me to choose them. It's really annoying, and they just won't back off.

They’re ringing again, honestly not worth getting upset about. Just slap a call blocker on your phone, it’s so annoying. Tell ’em to buzz off!

I wasn’t familiar with the number, so I chose not to pick up. I thought I’d better do a quick search on this site to see if it was something significant. Cheers for providing the details for that number! They hung up after ringing about five times and didn’t bother leaving a message. I can’t stand these unsolicited calls!

Keeps ringing but I never pick up calls from unknown numbers unless they leave a voicemail. No message this time, so not gonna bother.

Got a call from Alba Solutions saying I was due some money or whatever, but they used a different number this time - 01667415796. Tried looking them up with the Telephone Preference Scheme, but they couldnt find anything and reckoned the number is fake.

Received a call earlier today from someone claiming they had cash to replace my windows. I made it clear that I wasn't keen on the offer. They kept pressing me about the age of my windows, so I firmly told him to pay attention to my response and promptly ended the conversation.

If you get calls from scams, make sure you report them to the ICO. These scammers don’t give a toss about people moaning online, but they do get worried when the ICO gets involved - it only takes a couple of minutes to file a report on their website. Phone companies couldn’t care less about blocking these calls since they make money from selling caller ID services.

Someone called saying there were funds set aside for my street and was really pushy about getting info on my windows and doors!

They kicked off with some spiel about money set aside for my area. I cut in, all polite and nice, and told him cheerfully that what I really wanted to say was “please go away, I’m hanging up now.” Said it as friendly as I could, then put the phone down.

Again the same thing. Someone from Alba Solutions called, sounded Scottish but the number was from Coalville. I told him I don't take calls from cold callers and had to just hang up since he kept going on.

this number keeps ringing me non-stop, and if I ignore it, they call back about an hour afterwards but with the caller ID hidden. I’m seriously thinking about blocking this number on my landline.

It's become quite tiresome, really. I settle my BT bill on time, yet I'm continually pestered by these nuisances. It’s high time they put an end to this harassment of their loyal customers. I’ve had enough of it!

A rather peculiar incident occurred when my home phone rang earlier today from an unknown number that seemed to be obscured from any directory. I could have sworn the voice on the other end had a strong Glasgow accent, as they inquired about details of my property, such as my landlord’s identity. When I pressed them about how they acquired my telephone number-twice, mind you-the caller responded with a rather evasive, "Oh, so you’re not aware?" before abruptly terminating the call. Quite unsettling, to say the least. I do wish I had caller ID functionality; I've done my best to keep my number private, only sharing it with close friends and family. Such a strange encounter!

01530887671 rang me earlier today. When I tried to ask who they were and what company they represented, they wouldnt tell me anythin. They also refused to take my number off their list or say where they got my details from. The voice sounded Scottish but the number’s based in Lancashire. They wouldnt give any proper information about the databases or anything like that. Really suspicious behaviour.

I'm utterly fed up with receiving calls from individuals claiming there’s government cash available for boilers, windows, and whatnot. They always insist it’s not a cold call, but it’s becoming more than a little ridiculous!

I received a call from this number earlier today, on a Sunday, just shortly after my lunch. I didn’t pick up as I was occupied with other matters and simply couldn’t get to the phone in time. When I attempted to return the call, I discovered it was one of those elusive numbers that don’t allow for callbacks. I certainly won’t be entertaining any more calls from them and will definitely be alerting my family and mates to steer clear of this number.

Got a random call from some Scottish bloke saying he was from Alba or Alva Solutions or summat like that, and I just hung up straight away. I'm on the telephone preference service list, so I shouldn't be getting these calls. I never even bother chatting with these firms. Still, it’s pretty irritating.

Got a call at my work number saying I was signed up on the TPS. They claimed they were from a market research firm and said TPS rules dont apply to them. I told them that was rubbish. They’re clearly phoning people on the TPS list when they have no right to. After looking at other reviews, it’s obvious they’re not doing market research but just pushing products.

Got a call from this number on 24/02/17, the woman said something like Alba. They wanted to know about my doors and windows. I said everything’s fine and I wasn’t looking to buy anything. Then they said it wasn’t a sales call, just some info. I told them I was already on the do not call list and ended the call.

On the 23rd of February 2017, I got a call from someone claiming to be from Energy Efficiency Scotland. They asked questions about our windows and doors. I explained that our windows have double glazing and our doors are aluminium with a multi-locking system, so we aren't planning to change anything. The bloke said he wanted to drop some info off, but I told him it wasn’t needed and ended the call. I’m quite certain they’ve tried ringing before.
