I got a call from a very rude and intimidating woman who spoke to my 87 year old mum about her broadband (she doesn’t even have internet!). She was threatening to cut off her landline and talk about fines and even prison! Then she just hung up on my poor mum who was really shaken up. My mum ended up crying a lot and couldn’t sleep or eat after the call. The number showed as coming from Laggan, Scotland. I’m planning to reach out to trading standards and the police because this scam has caused so much upset and I’m fuming about it.
