The guy had an Indian (or Middle Eastern) accent and said he was doing some kind of survey. These calls happen all the time and are really frustrating. Best thing to do is just hang up or come up with your own clever way to get them to stop ringing you.

I told the caller they shouldn’t be ringing me and to take me off their list. He said, "Sorry, I can’t do that until the survey is finished." I just hung up. Like someone else said, what a knob!
