Whenever I get calls without any message left, I get really wary, thinking it must be some sort of scam or a pushy sales caller. I never bother calling back if there's no voicemail. Honestly, I just want to find out who’s calling and what on earth they want.

Got a missed call from what looks like a landline with a 22 area code, but they just rang once and hung up. Bit weird, makes me wonder what that was about.

They seem to operate under a plethora of names, making it quite the challenge to determine who's pilfering your hard-earned cash. Just a reminder, folks: if they’ve acquired your debt, you never actually signed an agreement with them. Therefore, your payment should be a big fat zero, zilch, nada! Instead, it’s best to reach out directly to the original company you have a relationship with and sort it out from there.

I picked up since the number wasn’t familiar, but I remained silent. On the other end, there was complete radio silence before the call dropped. After a bit of digging, I found out that it belongs to a debt collection firm named Sigma Red.
