I can’t help but inquire if they take pride in what they do and whether their folks are aware of their chosen profession. I even delve into the awkward dinner table chats with their parents, asking if they feel any pride in their offspring’s choices. The frustration on their end is palpable - it often culminates in a cacophony of shouting, foul language, and hostile threats before they finally hang up in a fit of rage. And I just can’t help but chuckle into the receiver as my last sound lingers in the air... Got a voice message from this number, some woman called Thelma from Bathing Solutions. She was asking if I’d got a brochure about a walk-in shower that apparently I’d asked for. The thing is, I never asked for anything like that. She left a freephone number to ring back and check if I’d received it. Didn’t bother calling as it seemed dodgy to me. Also, she never mentioned my name in the message, which is a bit sus for a genuine call.
