22/03/2017. Keeps ringing non stop, like 6 or 8 calls in the last week. Some are just silence, others got that call centre noise and then a person with an Asian accent. I dont answer, I just hang up. From what others said, sounds like a scam to me.

I've received three calls from this number over the past few days. They all follow a rather repetitive script about blocking unwanted calls. Every time they inquire if I face nuisance calls, I can’t help but respond with a cheeky 'yes, much like yours,' and they promptly end the call. I’ve attempted to block the number on my phone, but it seems I’ve had no luck with that tactic either.

I've been getting calls from this number on the 10th, 16th, and 17th of March this year. Each time, they either hang up immediately or ask who I am before cutting the line. Since it's a British number, why does BT not take action to block it? It would be much more effective if they could trace it back to a physical address and report it to the relevant authorities to put an end to these nuisance calls once and for all!

Today, I received a rather suspicious call from this number at precisely 14:10 on the 16th of March, 2017. The lady on the other end sounded exceptionally convincing and appeared to possess a surprising amount of personal information about me. For a fleeting moment, I nearly succumbed to the ruse; it must have been one of those moments of sheer forgetfulness! In the end, I opted to tell her I'd consult with my provider before hanging up. From here on out, I think I’ll let the answer machine do the work for me. Just to be on the safe side, I’m considering changing my card as a precaution.

I received a rather dubious phone call just after 9 in the morning from what I can only presume were scammers, with an Asian woman claiming to be offering call blocking services. Just as they began to probe for my banking information, I decided to flip the script and asked her to identify my phone service provider. When she replied with BT, I thought, 'Well, here we go,' and casually gave her some 'banking info': sort code 11-22-33, card number 1111 2222 3333 4444. She audibly scoffed, claiming those were incorrect, to which I quipped that they were as genuine as the call blocking she was supposedly providing. At that point, she promptly terminated the call.

Whenever I get a call from an unfamiliar number, I tend to answer without uttering a word. They invariably hang up in no time at all, just like the case with this number today. Occasionally, I receive calls claiming to be from "Microsoft," attempting to convince me to resolve alleged issues on my computer by instructing me to input a few commands. However, the best tactic - aside from simply cutting the call - is to ask them for my computer's IP Address. This number serves as a unique identifier for my device, and they typically haven't a clue what that is. It’s an excellent way to have them scamper off!

Today, Tuesday 21st February 2017 at 12:08pm, I got a call from 01524 644444. A man with an Indian accent spoke to me, knew both my name and address, and requested my debit card info to "verify" my identity for activating a nuisance call-blocking service. The way he spoke and his pushiness reminded me of a call I received months ago, where a similar bloke with an Asian accent tried to get remote access to my computer, insisting it had a problem: "Do it now on your computer."

He was going on about BT not blocking calls and how they supposedly could for us. Weirdly, he even knew my son's name. Honestly, someone really needs to find out who this is and stop them before things get worse. He then started yelling down the line trying to push whatever he was selling, so we just hung up.

They wanted me to prove I owned the house and then asked for my credit card info to make sure they had the right person!!! The caller had an Asian accent. I told them they must be having a laugh and ended the call. Total SCAM!

I've been receiving numerous calls, approximately four times a week, from this number featuring a distinctly Asian accent. They keep pushing a call blocking service but insist they’re not trying to make a sale. Honestly, it’s rather annoying. I’d recommend just hanging up as soon as they start!

Never got the name, but it doesn't really matter since they are total fraudsters. They promised my annoying calls would end, so I just said cheers and put the phone down. Didn’t even let them continue. Then, minutes later, another call asking for Mr ?. I said wrong number and ended the call. The number was blocked. Reported everything to Ofcom.

Got a call from 01524 644444 at about 6.32pm today. Was busy so I didn’t pick up and weirdly, no voicemail was left either. I found this out from my callback service. When I tried to ring back, all I got was silence for ages then just the engaged signal. Trying to figure out who it was, I looked it up here and glad to see others have said it’s a scam call.

My sister-in-law, who is around 86, has been plagued by this caller repeatedly. She once unwittingly handed over her card information, but thankfully, she caught herself just in time and rang up her bank for assistance. Nonetheless, these incessant calls continue, and it’s reached a stage where she's genuinely afraid to pick up the phone. I’ve suggested that she should just give him a good telling-off!

Got a call from this number at about 6.25 pm today. Clearly some sort of scam, and when I mentioned I’d be reporting them to OFCOM, they started threatening to ring me non stop, day and night. I told them to get lost! Then, just three minutes later they called back again. Needless to say, I cut them off even more quickly the second time!

Got a ring from an 01526 number earlier today. They were aware I’ve got a call blocking service on, then asked me to verify my name and address which they actually already had. He then asked if we pay by direct debit and said my bank card had expired, asking for the new card info. When I questioned why he needed that, the line just cut off.

Just got a call from 01524 644444 - seems like others have had the same. Some guy with an Asian accent said he was from my call blocking team (mind you, he didn't mention any firm or company - straight away I knew it was dodgy!). He asked if I get annoying calls - I said "who doesn't?". Then he claimed they’re sorting out all my nuisance calls. I reckon he was gonna try and grab some personal info, so I just said "thanks for the update. Goodbye" and hung up.

Yesterday, my grandma got a call from these lot on 02336852104 trying to sell her some call blocking thing, which she flat out refused. Today, they rang again on this number, claiming she'd agreed and warned they’d be sending someone round to fit the device, costing £80 one-off. She was really worried because they had her full name and address. Luckily, she didn't hand over any card details.

I received a call from a fella who had a noticeable accent from the Indian subcontinent. His English was quite shaky, and he insisted that I send him £100 to sort out some call barring issues. Given that I've been inundated with dodgy calls from India regarding this very matter in the past, I promptly told him to take a hike. It’s astonishing how these scammers are always aware that we’re on the Telephone Preference Service list.

I had a rather perplexing call from someone whose voice bore an Asian accent. My parents, being on the older side, were mentioned in the conversation as he claimed to have spoken to them the previous day. He insisted it wasn't a bothersome call, but I found myself struggling to grasp what he was trying to convey. He brought up a number-08/17-which completely threw me. When I asked him to clarify what that was all about, he mentioned something about the last four digits of their bank details. Thankfully, it wasn't the case, and I made it clear that I wasn’t interested in continuing the conversation. I sincerely hope they don’t attempt to contact us again, as I can't help but feel it was an underhanded tactic to extract sensitive information regarding my parents' account.
