4 yearsThe individual who rang me clearly had an accent that suggested they were from an Asian background, which immediately set off alarms in my mind. They asserted they were from Microsoft’s tech support, claiming they could assist with an issue I had supposedly highlighted regarding my computer. However, the truth is, I’ve had no such issues with my machine-it's running like a dream. It appears this caller was merely attempting to entice me into granting them remote access to my computer, which I certainly would not entertain.Microsoft4 yearsGot one of those classic tech support scam calls again. I used to work in IT myself, so I let them drag on for a bit just to run down their clock. Managed to keep them on the line for half an hour once before I cut it off - wouldn’t dream of letting them near my computer! Feels good knowing I’m maybe preventing them from tricking another person. Not something I’d advise everyone to do though.4 yearsGot a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying my computer was in trouble. I told him my real issue was dealing with con artists like him and told him to jog on. Blocked the number straight away. Won't say sorry for giving scammers a mouthful.4 yearsSomebody rang me claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my account had run out. When I mentioned I don’t even own a computer now, the person on the phone just went ahead and called me a fibber.MicrosoftSubmit Your Own Report (01524 409292)
