No question about it, that was definitely a dodgy phone call. They claimed to be from the bank, warning me about some suspicious goings-on with my account. Total nonsense!

Got a voicemail saying my debit card was used and to press 1 to find out more. They didn’t say which bank or card company it was. Seemed dodgy to me.

So I got a call on 12th October 2023 around 2:07pm from some automated voice claiming to be from my bank’s security team, but they never said which bank. They said there’d been suspicious stuff on my credit card, but didn’t mention which card or whose name it was under. Then they rattled off amounts like £350 for Amazon and over a grand on something else I supposedly bought. They told me to press 1 if I accepted the charges or choose another option to talk to someone. Pretty clear scam trying to phish info.

It’s definitely a bank scam, just ignore the call or press the pound key, but the message loops over and over. Honestly, let them waste their money on the call instead!

Got a call saying it was from my bank's security team, with a robotic voice talking about two transactions - some gambling one for about £1000 and an Amazon one for £700. It asked me to approve or refuse them but I just ended the call.

Got a recorded call saying my Visa debit card was charged about £1000 at some gambling place in Las Vegas and another £700 for Amazon. Total rubbish. I found the number using 1471 but didn’t bother ringing back. If this dodgy caller is based in England, I really hope the police are onto them.

I got a robo call saying there’s been suspicious withdrawals from my bank account, mentioning an Amazon order and some foreign transfer. It didn’t specify the card or bank though. Whatever you do, don’t ring them back or hand over any info - it smells like a dodgy scam to me. Stay safe!
