I got a call from a woman saying she was with BT Openreach, telling me my internet was running slower than it should. She offered to fix it for me. When I asked if she really worked for BT, she said yes, but her English was quite slow and there was a weird pause before she answered. It all felt very dodgy, like the call was coming from abroad. I kept her talking for a bit then just said goodbye and hung up. No way was that a genuine BT call.
