I pressed 1 like they told me to and ended up speaking to someone at a call centre. They said something about issues with the router and asked to get onto my computer. Didn’t fancy it one bit, so I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.BT7 yearsSomebody rang up claiming to be from the BT call blocking team, asking if I was still bothered by those annoying calls. She mentioned they’re doing their best to fix the problem but need a bit more time to sort it properly. I asked which company she was from and then she just abruptly ended the call. She spoke well and had a bit of an accent, seemed pretty legit at first. But it was only when she asked for my card info that I got suspicious. Definitely best to just ignore calls like that!BT7 yearsGot a call from a lady saying she was with BT Openreach, telling me my broadband was compromised by hackers. I mean, broadband getting infected? What nonsense is that? She then asked for payment to fix it. I told her the only issue here was her scammy tactics. She didn’t take it well and ended up calling me an “arsehole” before hanging up. Proper rude behaviour, not what you’d expect from BT at all. Guess I really got on her nerves by calling her out.
