I got a call earlier from someone inquisitive about my mother, which caught me quite off guard. I just received a call from an unidentified number, but I have a rule of not answering unknown calls. It's actually the worst thing you can do because it confirms that your number is active and will be sold to various unwanted individuals. This is why when I do pick up, there's complete silence from the other end, as they are most likely scammers or individuals of low moral character. Instead, I let the phone ring until they give up and hang up. Then, I use the "1471" feature to find out the number and conduct a Google search to determine who these scammers are. Unfortunately, this seems to happen with about 95% of the calls I receive. In an ideal world, these despicable individuals would be banished to a remote planet in outer space and quarantined there, so they can no longer waste our time or cause unnecessary stress.

I received a phone call late last night, but just now I got a call at 11:15 am. A man of ethnic origin claimed he was conducting a survey and had my name and address. Be careful with those survey things, they dig for all sorts of info. After loads of questions, they might ask about other people at your place. The number's linked to a Kenneth Rice from 29 Millhouse Close, Wirral, Merseyside L46 6FB - probably not part of the scam himself, cos the voicemail is full, probably with people complaining about it.
