Somebody called saying they were doing a survey, I asked where they were calling from and they said London. When I questioned how they got my number, they said it was from an automatic dialler. I told them my number's on the TPS list but they kept going. I then asked who they really were and requested an email and phone number because I wanted to report the use of an auto dialler here. They just hung up. They kept ringing every couple of hours but I've blocked them now.

They said they were with the European Commission doing a survey on how countries get along. Seems like they just wanted personal info like your birthdate to put together a profile for future scams. Best to just end the call and report it to the Information Commissioner's Office.

In the past week, I've received five calls - four from women abroad and one from a man overseas. Just now, I told one of the women that I charge £50 for every question answered. She said it's totally voluntary, so I asked her to take me off their list straight away. I'm really sick of their constant ringing. She said no problem, she’d do it. I’m curious to see if they actually follow through. I even left my phone off the hook for five minutes so no calls could be made. Honestly, it felt pretty good!

A bloke with a strong Indian/Pakistani accent said he was calling from Global surveys. I asked if he knew what time it was (8pm) and told him it was totally unacceptable to ring a private number so late. I said I planned to complain and asked for his contact number.
