Blimey, I managed to pick up just in the nick of time for a natter! The call was about some free loft insulation or double glazing, you know, that sort of thing. They were asking if I was a home owner or renting, which seemed like a fair enough question. So, just to see how they’d react, I said I was renting. They cut the line quicker than you could say 'Jack Robinson'! Now I can't help but wonder, if I had said I was an owner/occupier, could this have been a dodgy scheme to claim government grants without actually doing the work? I’ll share any updates if they decide to ring me again, ha!

Got a call claiming to discuss a car crash I was supposedly involved in. Thing is, I haven’t had any accident at all. Weirdly, this firm has phoned me 4 times today alone, each call coming from different area codes. I’ve blocked every one of those numbers and also reported the three other ones apart from the first. Proper annoying!

got a call from this number saying it was about a sim i'd apparently ordered from o2 (which i actually did). sounded legit at first and i ended up telling them my account number and sort code. but as soon as they started asking for my card info, i just cut the call. no legit company would ask for your card details like that over the phone.

Absolute scam alert! This bloke called up saying his firm got info claiming I’d been involved in a car crash in the last few years that wasn’t my fault. Then he started asking me to confirm if it was true, like he was trying to fish for info. When I asked why he didn’t already have the details, he just kept rambling on, insisting I’d signed up to their service. I reckon if I’d played along, they’d push me into some contract promising big payouts. Of course, if no money ever appeared, I’d probably be stuck footing their fees. Best thing to do? Just hang up immediately.
