Got a sales call from some mobile network trying to sell me a plan for about £35 a month. The bloke on the phone had no clue what my name was and was pushing really hard. When I asked him which company he was with and more about the deal, he just mumbled and I still have no idea. Honestly, I’d be careful not to share any personal info with these types.

Had a call on my mobile on the 13th of August, 2021, around half past one. It rang about five times before abruptly disconnecting. I've since blocked the number.

Got a call from a guy named Michael, sounded Indian, saying he had a 'great deal' to upgrade my phone from Carphone Warehouse. He was quite nice and sounded legit. Asked for my bank details to "verify my credit" with the bank. Foolishly, I gave them out, but then he said the line was breaking up and he’d ring me back. That’s when I realised it was dodgy. Rang Carphone Warehouse myself and they said no such offer existed and the number he used wasn’t theirs. I quickly switched some money out and called my bank straight away.

Got a call from someone called Harry Jay about an electricity deal supposedly with EDF Energy. When I asked if he was actually from EDF, he said no, he's with UK Utilities. He gave me some decent prices, but when I asked if he could post me the details, he said he couldn’t and wanted me to agree verbally. I agreed, and later got a confirmation letter with the same prices. Still a bit unsure why he couldn’t send it before, but so far, happy with the service.

some indian guy gave me this phone as his 'personal line' telling me he could sort better renewal deals, saying my contract with 'opus energy' was up for renewal, even though I’m only 9 months into my 12-month deal. asked for all my info, felt really sketchy!
