Just got a call from someone saying they were from BT, but how come they gave a London address with a Liverpool phone code? They said they needed to turn on my computer because hackers were using it or something. Honestly, bless her for underestimating how daft people might be!

Received a call a moment ago from that number. The bloke claimed to be with BT, saying my router was compromised. I asked him for my IP address, but he had no clue what that was. Then I tried getting a MAC address out of him, and he was clueless again.

Just got a call from a lady saying she was from BT’s tech department in London, said there was an issue with my internet. Honestly, be careful with these calls, sounded fishy to me.

This bloke rang me up, said he was from BT and that my router was hacked, so my laptop must be hacked too. I told him he was just trying to scam me, and then he turned it around and said *I* was the one trying to scam him! Proper odd conversation.

Some bloke called claiming he was ringing from the BT Tower, told me to get on my computer, but when I asked him to email me the details, he just cut me off. Definitely a scam.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from BT. There was loads of noise in the background, sounded like it might be one of those overseas call centres. Definitely felt dodgy.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, told me my internet had been hacked. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.

So this bloke called me claiming to be Peter from BT’s tech team. He said my internet would be cut off in a couple of hours because apparently my computer was getting hacked or something like that. Then he asked if he could remote into my PC to fix it. I told him no way, I know this is a scam. He asked me how I knew that, and I just said he’s been flagged on loads of videos online. After that, he just hung up.
