I recently got a phone call from a company called Quality Care, regarding an ad that I supposedly consented to for the Disabled Adventure Company's A1 wall planner. They claimed that the artwork was all set and that I simply needed to cough up £95, which I allegedly agreed to back in November! Now, I’m quite careful with my money, particularly when it comes to advertising, especially when it’s with a charity I’ve never heard of, and especially as they’re not even based nearby. I firmly stated that I had no memory of consenting to any such advertisement and demanded some written evidence to prove I had done so. Shockingly, the lass on the line quickly offered to cancel the ad that I apparently 'had agreed to’, but she wouldn’t disclose her name or provide a contact number. Just a heads up - be wary out there!
