I just got a phone call from someone claiming to be Quality Care REF, saying I’d supposedly agreed to an advert on the Disabled Adventure Company’s A1 wall planner. They said the artwork was ready and all I needed to do was pay £95, a deal they said I made back in November. I’m usually cautious about handing over cash for ads, especially when I’ve never heard of this company and the charity isn’t even local to me. I told them straight up I didn’t remember agreeing to anything and asked for proof in writing that I had actually placed the advert. The woman on the line quickly offered to cancel the advert I supposedly had, but then wouldn’t give me her name or any way to contact her again. Be careful with these calls!
