I received a phone call from someone purporting to be from Amazon, saying that my Amazon Prime subscription had lapsed and that I supposedly owed £95. It had the eerie feel of a pre-recorded message.

Got a call on the landline from a number that looked local, with a lady claiming to be from Amazon saying my Prime membership had ended and I needed to pay £95. It seemed like one of those pre-recorded messages. I just hung up straight away. I’m pretty sure it’s a scam because I don’t recall ever giving Amazon this number. Planning to report it soon.
