Wasn’t home and my answerphone caught a message towards the end from someone with a strong American accent. They were saying something about getting in contact to grab this really great offer or something like that.

I saw a missed call from this number and decided to ring them back. As soon as they picked up, the person on the other end called me by my name and immediately brought up a car accident I was involved in about three years back. Pretty strange!

I had a rather unexpected phone call from a chap named Shaun representing Imperial Telecom, who claimed to discuss some supposed discounts on our telephone and broadband expenses. However, it's worth mentioning that we’ve already requested I.T to remove our details since we’re registered with the telephone preference service. Shaun kept probing for information regarding our bills but was rather obstinate about only communicating via written correspondence if we coughed up £50. Quite a peculiar situation, to say the least!
