I just ignored it and didn’t pick up.

Picked up the phone and heard 2 blokes speaking what sounded like Polish having a bit of a row, then they just hung up after about a minute. I called back and got this automated message with an American accent sayin' it was from Niftel, telling me to press 9 if I wanted to opt out, but then a woman's voice told me to 'hang up' and it just cut off. Looked up Niftel and apparently they're an Indian phone company, so not sure why they're using a Liverpool number. Smells like a scam to me.

I got a call about a new boiler replacement, I started to say no and before I could finish, the bloke just cut me off and ended the call. Proper rude and definitely a scam. Stay clear!

Got a call just like yesterday, silent and then cut off, this one came through at about 3:28 in the afternoon. I don’t get why the people running these scam calls don’t understand they’re basically wasting money by ringing numbers that never answer or engage. Even if the calls are free, someone has to be paying for the time and effort of the folks making and taking the calls, so it’s not like they’re getting away without spending anything.

This was funny. Got a call from a Liverpool number, right? And the woman on the other end was from Mumbai, speaking English quite poorly. She was trying to tell me about a ‘free replacemint’ for my boilers or something! Seriously, they should teach her how to say ‘boiler’ properly before they put her on the phone.

I picked up the phone, and a man with an Asian accent informed me I was eligible for a complimentary heating system. He even had my surname, which was rather unsettling. However, I explained that I’d just had a brand-new system installed and wasn’t in the market for another one. At that point, he abruptly hung up! I recognised it as a scam right from the moment he began his pitch!

i get calls from this number quite a bit, they mostly try to sell life insurance. normally i just say no nicely, but occasionally i have to be a bit more rude because they can get really nasty. i’ve seen reviews on here and honestly, it surprises me how people get so worked up. annoying calls can come from all sorts of people - male, female, scottish, english, asian, italian! i understand the frustration with rude callers but bringing race into it is just wrong. where someone’s from, their religion or skin colour doesn’t make them a liar on the phone!
