Got a call from some UK call centre, loads of noise in the background. The woman asked for my name and then just hung up on me. Sounds like a phishing attempt to me... probably trying to grab your info to sell on to those PPI or car crash scammers, or even pension transfer fraudsters. Best to just block and ignore this number.

I keep getting calls from these lot about some accident and whether I want to file a personal injury claim. I tell them my car weighs around 3 tonnes and I didn’t get hurt or even notice any hit, but they keep insisting that I could get compensation because of the damage to my car. When I try to explain I’m not interested and I’m not into scams, they go on for like 10 to 15 minutes pushing me. Eventually, I have to raise my voice, then they say “Alright, no worries, we’ll remove you from our list,” and hang up. But then, just a few days later, they ring me again and start the same spiel all over!
