I received a rather intriguing call from a chap named Jason Miller, who seemed quite keen to discuss a supposed mishap I had been involved in - which, mind you, isn’t the case at all. He went on about how I could claim at least £15,000! He insisted I remained on the line to get in touch with an expert, assuring me that the funds would be dispatched the same day. When I mentioned that I needed to confer with my husband first, he kindly provided me with a number for a call back - 01515287875. Quite the odd experience, to say the least!

Got loads of dodgy calls about insurance stuff since I put up an ad on GUMTREE. Always the same scammy calls. Blocked the number now. Might just quit using GUMTREE - they seem useless at stopping these annoying scammers.

Some dodgy caller, probably from India or Pakistan, tried a really lame cold reading on me, claiming I’m due £4,000 over some accident I supposedly had. It’s ridiculous - they’re just hoping everyone’s had some kind of crash in the last couple of centuries and you’ll just fall for it. Such a weak scam.

I've been receiving calls from this number for what feels like an eternity! When I inquired about some information regarding a supposed accident, the chap on the other end claimed he needed to check with his manager first, which immediately raised my eyebrows. I informed him that I've never been involved in an accident at all. He had a noticeable Indian accent and even probed me about my insurance provider. But the moment I started digging into the background of his company, he abruptly hung up. Very peculiar, to say the least!

I received a call supposedly from a solicitor claiming I could receive compensation of approximately £4,000 for a traffic accident I didn't even have. When I asked for more information, they refused to elaborate and insisted it wasn't a cold call or a phishing attempt. I've since blocked the number out of caution.

I received a rather odd call regarding an accident that I certainly didn't have! When I informed the bloke on the other end that there was no mishap, he cheekily remarked that I must be quite the skilled driver. To my astonishment, he even claimed to know where I live and suggested popping over for a cuppa! When I pointed out that his behaviour was quite inappropriate, he just laughed it off and mentioned he'd be in touch again! It's baffling, especially since I’m signed up with the Telephone Preference Service.

They’ve been calling me like 3 or 4 times each day for the past couple weeks, saying I was in an accident. I haven’t been in any accident tho. The voice always sounds like it might be Asian, Indian, or Pakistani.

Got a call from this number pretending to be from the tax office, asking for my card number and the security code on the back. It looked like the call was being forwarded to India or somewhere similar. I gave them fake info just to see what they’d do next. Once they had the details, they started asking more questions about my bank card, trying to get access to my account straight away. I let them know off properly and told them to never call me again. Number’s blocked on my iPhone now. BE CAREFUL!!!

I posted my car for sale on Gumtree and then got a call from this number about some "car accident". They already knew my first name from the ad and even the type of car I have. They said they were from some "National Help Line", like a GOVERNMENT office or something. They told me not to talk to my solicitor. When I asked for the company name, they gave me one that’s actually shown as "dissolved" on Companies House, and weirdly, it’s a firm that deals with meat products, not anything to do with car crashes.
