Got a call from 0151 528 4444, some bloke pretending to be from HMRC, said my house is being watched and threatened legal stuff. Sounds dodgy, might be an Indian guy trying to pull a fast one. Watch out, could be a scam!

Got a voicemail from someone pretending to be HMRC saying I had to ring back or I’d get in trouble legally. Didn’t get any more calls after that - total scam if you ask me.

I got a call yesterday from someone claiming to be HMRC saying I was owed a tax refund. I told them I’d be waiting for the cheque, even though I’m a qualified accountant and know for sure I don’t have any rebate coming. Then they said I had to send the money via transfer and asked for my bank details. I just told them off and hung up.

I didn’t pick up the call. Later, I got a voicemail, told me it was my last chance to sort out the unpaid amount and to get in touch with them. The message was obviously automated. I chose not to return the call.
