Got a call from Carphone Warehouse about a new iPhone deal with a big discount. Seemed too good to be true, and it was. They tried to get my credit card details and asked loads of personal info to "confirm" things. Definitely a scam, don't trust offers like that!

just like loads of others have pointed out, this number is linked to a bloke called stuart wri,ght who’s well known for scamming folk. you can find his details shared around different numbers online. he’s listed at 21a plymouth road, bart green, birmingham, b45,,8j. no surprise he’s got a posh house,guess all that scamming pays off for him!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, offering me an early upgrade deal. Thing is, I don’t even have a contract with them. The bloke said they’d sort it out through Three and that my bills would go down. When I told him I was gonna ring Three myself, he tried to get their customer service to ring me back. I told him I’d rather call the official Three number. He started to get a bit pushy, so I told him to ring back in five minutes. After that, I phoned Three directly and they said there’s no such early upgrade offers through Carphone Warehouse. Later, he called again and I told him what I found out. He said Three’s upgrade team doesn’t know anything about this Carphone Warehouse scheme. Then he said there’d be no fees upfront, but right after that, asked me for a £36 “security deposit.” I just laughed and ended the call straight away.

i’m totally over these scam calls blowing up my phone every single day. it’s obvious they’re not legit, yet no one seems to take real action to stop them. i’ve got mental health struggles and this constant harassment just makes everything worse for me, and i reckon a lot of others feel the same. these fraudsters really should be caught and punished, and not mildly either - they need to be dealt with severely.

Got a call where the person claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse, pushing SIM card deals and stuff. Told them I’m already tied up with Fleur on a contract, so no thanks. When I asked several times how they got my number, they just abruptly said “thanks, have a good day” and hung up. Quite strange really.

I picked up the phone and could just about make out a muffled voice before the bloke quickly hung up. Can’t tell if they just dialled the wrong number or if it was some sort of scam. I’m guessing I might get another call later today or maybe tomorrow, and that’ll probably make it clear if it’s a marketing scam. The number came up as a timber cladding supplier, and I’ve never dealt with anyone like that before.
