I’ve just received what appears to be a rather dodgy call. A pre-recorded message claimed that there were some suspicious transactions on my credit card: one for £300 from Amazon and another for £1200 from some other entity. It then urged me to press a button to discuss further or simply hit '1' to authorise these supposed transactions. Funnily enough, I had a similar message just earlier in the day, with the only difference being the last four digits of the number. Both calls originated from Liverpool, one ending in 0567 and the other in 0566. Clearly, this is a scam! I’d recommend you avoid answering this sort of call, make sure to delete any record of it, and block the number. It’s also a good idea to report it here so we can look out for one another and keep others from falling prey to these cons.

I've had two missed calls from this number this morning. When I answered, I was greeted by a pre-recorded message purporting to be from 'Bank Security Services'.
