Got a call from a number I didn't recognise, and as soon as I stayed silent, they hung up. Been getting a few like this lately from places like Manchester and Glasgow.

Had a bloke pretending to be from Windows on the phone today. I kept him chatting for a bit, just for a laugh, then he lost his rag and began calling me all sorts of names. Proper nasty piece of work, honestly.

Got a call from this really rude lady with an Indian accent, saying she was from some security company. She wanted me to switch on my computer cause there was some issue with my Microsoft software. I said I don’t even own a computer. Then she said it could be on my phone or tablet too, like as if! I told her I don’t have a phone either, and then she just ended the call. Proper scam if you ask me.

I told the bloke he was trying to scam me and he went completely off on me, calling me all sorts of names. Honestly, it’s mad how these muppets still get away with it. They seriously oughta be nabbed and taught a lesson in public. Makes you wonder though, if we can’t even stop these scammers, did anyone even really step foot on the moon?

Got a call from a Liverpool number, sounded like an Indian guy. He introduced himself as Ryan and said something about my computer. I asked which computer he meant, and he snapped back, calling me a bastard over Windows or something. I told him not to swear at me and to stop calling this number. Then I blocked and deleted him straight away. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

Got a call from a Liverpool number, and some guy with an Indian accent said, "Hi, this is Ryan, calling about your computer." I asked him to clarify which computer he meant, and he suddenly replied with "Windows you bastard." Told him not to call me that and to never ring this number again. Then I blocked and deleted the number. Definitely felt like one of those scam calls.

Received a call where they addressed me by name and claimed to be fixing some Microsoft software on my machine. CAUTION! I received a call where they inquired if I was Mr Joe Bloggs, which clearly meant they already had my full name and phone number in their possession. There's a significant number of vulnerable individuals out there who are being targeted by scammers and fraudsters. These callers claim to be reaching out to assist with supposed Microsoft problems or to inform you that your Microsoft account has been compromised. Their goal? They’re after your account details, numbers, and passwords. I urge you to report these incidents on this platform to help put an end to their deceit before they take advantage of someone else!

Got a call from someone claiming to be about cyber security, said there was unauthorised access on my Microsoft device. When I asked which one, the woman replied something like "I'm from Apple Microsoft." I asked her, "what part of Microsoft do you mean?" I received a rather alarming call purporting to be from "Microsoft," claiming that my Windows computer had been targeted by hackers. I cleverly kept the chap on the line for four minutes until he caught on that I was leading him astray, especially when he inquired if I was familiar with the event viewer. Being someone who works in software development, I figured that if I could distract him for that brief moment, it might prevent him from tricking someone else with his dubious schemes.
